Indiana isn’t exactly well known for its waterfalls, but there are quite a few amazing falls worth checking out in the state. From the large, double waterfalls at Cataract Falls to the lovely falls at Clifty State Park, Indiana has quite a few stunning waterfalls. However, one of the best places to visit is undoubtedly Hemlock Cliffs Falls in the Hoosier National Forest. Why? Because you can walk behind a waterfall for a unique and thrilling experience.
Hemlock Cliffs is a spectacular site, located within the Hoosier National Forest. This area of the forest is a box canyon with unique tree and plant life, stunning sandstone formations, and a variety of gorgeous waterfalls.
Exercise extreme caution of you hike behind a fall higher up. Of course the experience is much different and brings you closer to the peak of the falls.
Whether you want to walk behind a fall by climbing a cliff or stand behind one at ground level, you'll be invigorated by this incredible hiking experience.
