Taking place over three days in central Indiana is a historical event that will transport you to another world in another time. Viking Fest 2019 is set to be the best experience Hoosiers have all spring, and you're not going to want to miss out.
The dates are coming up fast, so clear your calendar. It is set to take place April 12-14, 2019 at Anson Acres, which is located just northwest of Indy. Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. on Saturday, and noon on Sunday.
The event lasts until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday but things wrap up at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The main attractions to this Viking festival are the music, food, and reenactments. Different activities are scheduled for each day, so it is recommended you attend as many days as possible.
Vendors will be on hand to set you up with all sorts of authentic Viking gear. Drinking gourds, shields, swords, knives, armor, gloves, capes, shawls, cloaks, chainmail, jewelry, accessories, and other attire, tools, and trinkets abound.
There will also be food vendors selling all sorts of delicious things to eat and drink. Enjoy timeless wonders like giant turkey legs, scotch eggs, mead, and much more.
If you or your little ones love to dress up, this is the perfect event to attend. Everyone is encouraged to dawn their best Nordic and Scandinavian attire while pretending to have come by war ship.
Yes, wolves are even known to make an appearance at the Viking Fest.

Tickets are just $5 for anyone over the age of 10 and are available at the door. There is plenty of room for all who wish to attend, so don't be shy and check out this historical event.
