There’s an adorable little ice cream shop hiding in Indiana that been around since before you were born, and you have to try it. They serve a velvet ice cream that is simply irresistible.

Valpo Velvet is a tried and true local favorite that's been around since 1947 in the town of Valparaiso, which is in the northwestern corner of the state.
Valpo Velvet is known for the softest, most amazing dairy treats in the state. They use fresh ingredients and a homemade mix that makes for a smoother product.
In all, the shop makes about 60 different ice cream flavors. Menu items include ice cream bars, cookie sandwiches, cones, drumsticks, ice cream cakes, and pies, cake, and cupcakes.
The store is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Sunday hours begin at noon.)
