Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
It’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the weather, don’t you think? Well, what better way to do so than to embark on one of the best hiking trails in Indiana or check out Indiana’s amazing state parks, or maybe go camping? How about staying at a truly unique campground in Indiana? We found one that’s absolutely perfect in every way: fun, modern, and unforgettable. Check out Caboose Lake, a 38-acre paradise for campers – especially campers and their families. Enjoy!
Caboose Lake is a crystal-clear blue lake nestled on private land in Remington.
It's here where you'll discover the Caboose Lake Campground, and it's a joy and half, we'll tellyuh whut (what, you don't channel your inner Hank Hill sometimes?). It's unique for LOTS of reasons, but there's one in particular that definitely caught our eye.
You can rent cabins at Caboose Lake, which is cool and all, but you can rent cabins anywhere.
No, what's special about Caboose Lake is the yurts you can rent to stay in. They are a simple but still somehow elegant solution to the "I want to stay the night here, but don't really feel like a tent or cabin is right for me" conundrum.

The yurts are decorated simply and are quite cozy!
You'll find a Queen-sized bed, a full-sized futon, and twin bunk beds at your disposal. Make sure to remember to bring your own towels and bed linens; this isn't like a cabin stay. It's glamping in every sense of the word.
You'll also get a microwave, a full-size fridge and freezer, AC and/or heat, and a charcoal grill just in case you want to rough it a little more and ignore the microwave (same, but no judgement here).
The campground itself is no slouch, either; it's got amenities and features out the wazoo, and we think you'll love it, especially if you're coming with kids in tow.
The Family Fun Zone is just outside the yurts, cabins, and campsites, so no matter which accommodation you pick, you're still in the perfect spot to enjoy the park.
Enjoy water-based shenanigans on the lake, swimming, fishing, and more. There are bumper boats, fun inflatables to bounce off of, land inflatables, paddle boats, and more. The list goes on - and so too should your vacation!
Do keep in mind that there is a two-night minimum stay in the yurts, but we promise it's really, really easy to spend much longer here, so two days is easy-peasy.
Oh, and we almost forgot to mention: this campground, and the Family Fun Park, are outrageously affordable. If you're looking for an affordable vacation in Indiana, this is it! You can't beat the prices anywhere.
For the most up-to-date pricing, ticketing information, and all you’ll ever need to know about this unique campground in Indiana, be sure to visit the official Caboose Lake Campground website.
