The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is a stunning beach site that will have you believing you've ventured off to a coastal state. Located along the south end of Lake Michigan, this lakeshore spans for 15 miles, while the dunes stretch on for 15,000 acres.
If you've never seen the Dunes in person, you'll be shocked to find something so unique and breathtaking in the Hoosier state. The Dunes will make you feel as if you've been transported to coastal Maine and at times, are so unearthly stunning, you'll believe you've stepped onto another planet.

While summer is a popular time to visit the Dunes, they're exciting to explore year round, particularly in the fall, before the water gets too cold.
