Taking place Mondays and Tuesdays in October 2018, French Lick Resort in Southern Indiana is hosting trolley rides for locals who love history. Tours begin at 11 a.m. and cost $20 per person.
French Lick Resort is a luxury, historic hotel situated on the edge of the Hoosier National Forest, and it includes features and amenities like spa treatments, fancy dinners, and a golf course.
Guests will get a chance to witness some little-known pieces of history that are often overlooked. This trolley tour takes you past a dozen different points of interest, all of which have a story.
Guests begin with a drive down Larry Bird Boulevard. One of the state's most popular celebrities, this famous figure was a basketball player and now a coach who was born in West Baden Springs.
Other historic points of interest include buildings that housed underground casinos as well as hotels. This unique resort's history stems back to 1845 when the French Lick Springs Hotel was built. Five years later, West Baden Springs Hotel was built nearby. It fell into ruin in 1991 and was restored in 2006.
