We all know that the best frozen dairy treats of the summer come from the smallest creameries in Indiana. There’s a tiny ice cream stand hiding in a remote part of Angola that is everything you want in a seasonal ice cream parlor and more.
Don’t let summer pass you by without a trip to this nostalgic spot. Scroll on for more details:
There's a charming little ice cream parlor in the exciting lake community of Angola in Steuben County that has been around longer than anyone can remember.
Locally-owned and operated, this free-standing place often has local teens working it over the summers. Guest can eat inside or enjoy their treats on the porch out front.
Scoops offers several menu options including sundaes, root beer floats, banana splits, malts, and milkshakes. You can also get frozen yogurt, sorbet, and sherbert.
Scoops is open daily from noon to 10 p.m. and its seasonal schedule corresponds with when area schools are out of session (typically June through August).
