Veal's Ice Tree all started 55 years ago, when Vierl Veal noticed the beautiful way that the ice froze on the family's honeysuckle tree. Vierl began constructing the first ice tree out of lumber, scrap metal, and spare branches. The premise was pretty simple: construct a base, spray it with water, and let Mother Nature do her thing.

Using food coloring, the Veal family was able to create a magical, rainbow ice tree that truly looks like a winter wonderland.

The tree became a yearly tradition and is now carried on by Vierl Veal's grandson, Chad. Each winter, you can find the Veals prepping the enormous base for the ice tree, in order to put on a truly captivating show.
