These days, wings aren’t too hard to come by. However, if you want the best wings around, you’ll have to head to The Friendly Tavern. The decades old eatery boasts a menu brimming with tasty dishes; however, it’s the wings that customers consistently rave about – and for good reason. Meaty and bursting with flavor, the “famous wings” definitely live up to their reputation. Take a look:
A Zionsville staple, The Friendly Tavern has been doling out great grub for about 60 years.
Regardless of when you visit, you’ll likely find a crowd, which can be partly attributed to the extremely hospitable staff. Friendly’s motto is “You are a stranger here but once,” and they truly mean it.
Of course the friendly servers aren’t the only reason diners love Friendly’s. There’s also the mouthwatering fare, particularly Friendly’s Famous Wings.
Friendly’s signature wing sauces only amp up the flavor. Choose between BBQ, Honey Apple BBQ, Buffalo, Ranch, Bleu Cheese, Honey Mustard, and Oriental.
The size of the wings is another plus. Huge and meaty, they’re sure to satisfy larger appetites. The larger size also makes them perfect for sharing. Of course, you’ll probably want to keep them all for yourself.
Though the wings are reason enough to visit Friendly’s, they’re not the only reason. Friendly’s has several other house specialties, including its tenderloin sandwich.
The Friendly Tavern’s normal operating hours are Monday – Thursday, from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Friday – Saturday, from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. For more information, call (317) 873-5772. You can also visit The Friendly Tavern website or Facebook page.
