Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Indiana, start your engines: it’s that time of year again! It’s late summer, and plenty of Hoosiers know what that means: it’s time for the legendary annual Swiss Wine Festival in Indiana; and despite the wine theme, it’s actually a three-day fun-filled fest for the entire family. Everyone in your crew will have a blast celebrating the cultural heritage of Switzerland County with rides, activities, games, shows, and, of course, plenty of vino.
For 49 years now, Vevay, Indiana, has held this special festival to honor its history.
It's an homage to everything that is Indiana: a strong sense of community, the skilled work of artisans and musicians, and a little bit of country life.
It begins on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021.
Admission on this night is free, and the fun begins at 5 p.m. You and yours will be treated to all sorts of entertainment, from a magic show to concerts and even the Edelweiss Festival Queen Pageant. There will also be wrestling (would it even be Indiana if there wasn't?) and a dog show, so you can't miss it!

Friday afternoon is when things really get going. Or should we say stomping?
You'll also be able to indulge in amazing craft beers, and take your pick of any one (or two. Or 10 -- it's fine!) of the excellent food trucks onsite.
Some of Indiana's finest chefs and cooks will be there serving up dreamy dishes to die for.
And, if you happen to miss anything on the first night or the second day, no worries - each act goes onstage several times throughout the festival, so you'll be able to eventually cover everything there is to do without missing out on other things.
Oh, and one more thing: there are rides, too, so make sure to grab a wristband for just $25.
Rides run from Thursday through Sunday, so there's plenty of time to feel like a kid again. Does it get a whole lot better than this? We officially submit that it does not.
Whether you bring the family with kids or you show up on your own (or with your best friends), you're bound to have a memorable time in beautiful Vevay.
For the full event schedule, as well as tickets, sign-up forms for activities like the grape stomping competitions, the 5K, the parade, the cornhole tournament, or the crafts flea market, make sure to visit the official website.
