Did you know that there are numerous absolutely stunning waterfalls in Indiana? Yep – and most of the time, you don’t even need to head to one of Indiana’s beautiful state parks to see one. Sure, some of them reside within our parks, but others are an adventure all their own. The waterfall we’re going to admire today is located near the town of Williamsport, and it’s a stunning little slice of heaven that’s wonderful to visit all year – though, if you plan on utilizing this unique waterfall swimming hole in Indiana, we strongly suggest you do so before autumn’s end when it gets too cold to do so.
Williamsport Falls is special for multiple reasons, one of which is that it's the tallest waterfall in Indiana!
You'll hear the falls before you see them - especially if it's recently rained. The size of the waterfall ebbs and flows, depending on rainfall. During particularly dry times, you can expect little to no flow.

But following good rainy seasons or lots of snowmelt, Williamsport Falls becomes a force to be reckoned with, and the swimming hole below it is an extra treat.
Few things are as relaxing as mozying up to the water and dipping your feet in. We personally enjoy bringing a good book along and curling up beside (and sometimes in!) the water.
The whole area is absolutely worth exploring, but we're not sure which we like the most: the swimming hole, the waterfall itself, or its amazing surroundings!
This is one of those parts of Indiana that are so ridiculously scenic and photogenic that it doesn't feel real. It's a refreshing break from real life, and the water is always nice.
You can also swim up to - and venture behind - the waterfall itself.
You'll definitely want to make sure you bring plenty of water and sunscreen, even if it's cloudy or you plan on swimming. After all, safety first - and you can't drink the water here, so hydration is essential.
This amazing swimming hole in Indiana is just a stone’s throw away from downtown Williamsport, and we strongly suggest going after a good, solid rainstorm. Few things in Indiana are quite as astonishingly beautiful as this little sliver of heaven.
