Fairfax Beach is a criminally underrated, highly accessible sandy beach offering stunning views of Monroe Lake. Better yet, there's a marina with boat rentals, so you can go out on the water or stay on the beach. Either way, it's worth a whole day trip! Beverly Shores is easily one of Indiana's most adorable small towns, and its spot nestled right on Lake Michigan means there are plenty of beachy adventures to be had. Who says Gary isn't a great place to visit? In fact, there's not one but two beaches on this list that are located in Gary, which makes us suspect a trip to the little town might be good for the soul sometimes. This beach is beautiful, sandy, and warm, and there are lifeguards on duty, so it's great for kids! There's also an idyllic boardwalk hike that you can't miss. Indiana Dunes State Park is kind of like one giant beach if you look at it a certain way. But there's a lot more to it than just the beaches; it's also got a smattering of dunes, swamps, marshes, wetlands, and groves, all ripe for exploration. Pike Lake, in Warsaw, is awesome for the fact that its entire bottom is sandy, giving it that truly oceanic feel. It has a very, very beachy vibe to it; it might be one of the best escapes in Indiana, if we're honest! There are lifeguards on duty, and also some vending machines just in case you need a snack. As promised, the second item from Gary to be featured on this list is beautiful Miller Beach. It's a treat! It lies on the southernmost shore of Lake Michigan, and the water truly appears to go on forever, just like an ocean. The beach is surrounded by protected lands, including those at Indiana Dunes State Park - so perhaps you can visit both on the same day! Also worth visiting here is Marquette Park. Last but certainly not least on this list is the world-famous Indiana Beach - which also happens to be an adventure theme park! It's got more than 40 rides, attractions, and things to do - including six roller coasters. This little spot will make you feel like you're in California or Florida.
