Mentone, Indiana is a small town in Kosciusko County with roughly 1,000 residents. This small town has its quirks like any other, but also holds a pretty strange title: The Egg Basket of the Midwest.

That's because Mentone is one of the largest egg producers in the region, a heritage residents are pretty darn proud of. In fact, this small town is even home to the largest egg in the world, weighing roughly 3,000 pounds. While this title is unconfirmed, anyone from Mentone will tell you it's true - you won't find a larger egg anywhere.
