When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Sometimes, the soul wants what the soul wants – and sometimes, what the soul wants is some delicious, incredibly authentic Italian food. I get it, which is why I’ve spent (probably way too much) time checking out some of the all-time best spots for Italian food in Indiana. Now, get this: the best Italian food in Indiana is not necessarily found in a standalone brick-and-mortar building or a chain place. Nope! It’s nestled within a strip mall in Indianapolis: one of the best places to eat in Indiana if you’re looking for it. Check it out:
Since 1992, Vito's has been serving up some of the best Italian food you'll ever find in the Midwest.
If you're looking to be impressed, the décor is not where you want to turn. For that, we refer to the menu, which is filled top-to-bottom with incredible dining options.

It doesn't even matter what you choose. It's all amazing.
You can go with classics like pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccine alfredo, and more. Or, you can get a little more creative and get something like, say, the delicious veggie lasagna.
Vito Provolone's isn't open on Sundays, so do plan accordingly. That's okay, though - it just makes us value the other six days of the week that much more. If we could come out and have lunch (and/or) dinner at Vito Provolone's, we would.
Of course, you won't be able to resist wrapping up your killer meal with some delectable desserts.
You can also take your pick from lots of delicious wines and beers, many of which are imports. Vito Provolone's is awesome for a little self-care, a date night, a birthday, or just because.
No matter what the occasion is (or isn't), one thing's for sure: you won't find authentic Italian food in a strip mall that's ever as good as this.
For the most up-to-date hours, menu, specials, and more, you’ll definitely want to check out the official Vito Provolone’s website. You might also want to check out its official Facebook page.
