If you’re brave enough to handle the most frightening movies and stories, check out the scariest haunted house in Indiana. This attraction in the town of Seymour is not for those who are easily frightened. Be prepared to scream when you enter this creepy house of horror.
Eerie characters and diabolical plots await you at this unique haunted attraction. Scroll on to see what it is all about.
Fear Fair is a frightening haunted attraction in Southern Indiana that is not for the faint of heart. It begins in late September each year and lasts until Halloween.
Not recommended for children under the age of 13, Indiana's scariest haunted house comes with a unique cast of characters to frighten you. This year's event includes four different scenes that will drive you insane.
Beware the Black Death where guests are transported to the 14th century. This disease was brought about by an evil witch, and so it is incredibly sinister. See if you can escape without contracting the plague.
There is also an area called Ascension that is like a post-apocalyptic world. Guests are brought up out of the ground after a war to find out that much has changed. Additionally, Voodoo will convince you of the powers of the spirits of the bayou if you dare to enter.
This year, guests will also be able to participate in the Rockford Riot. You'll be trapped in a correctional facility with violent felons and lunatics with no way to break free.
There are two ways to enjoy Indiana's scariest haunted house. General admission allows you to explore the place without being touched. You can say "Monster be good," and they will even leave you alone to find another victim.
Those who want the full frightening effect will opt for the extra fear admission. In this version, you may be touched, grabbed, and pulled away. Each participant is given a glow stick that they can drop if it becomes too much.
As a bit of a bonus, there is one additional way to explore this haunted attraction. November 2-3, 2018, Fear Fair will host its Blackout event, which allows participants to go through the scary rooms and scenes in pitch darkness with just a single flashlight to guide your group.
Admission to Fear Fair is $25 per person. Pay $10 to upgrade to the slash pass so you can skip the lines. Reserve your tickets online ahead of time and enjoy free parking once you arrive. Hours are 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Fear Fair also hosts some special off-season events as well. Past events include haunted Christmas attractions, frightening Valentines, and zombie apocalypses.
Fear Fair takes place at 800 A Ave. E, Seymour, IN 47274, and you can learn more about it on its website or Facebook page.
