Retro is probably going to mean something different depending on who you ask. When I think about retro places in Indiana, I think about bowling alleys and ice skating rinks. Arcades also come to mind. These are places that used to be a much more popular place to hangout than they are now. That being said, they still exist and they are a lot of fun. I’ve done some digging and I compiled a list of ice rinks, bowling alleys, and arcades in the state.
Ice skating is not the only type of skating you can do in Indiana. Anderson Roll Arena is a place you can go roller skating instead. You'll find it at 2711 Broadway St, Anderson.
Arctic Zone Iceplex is an ice skating rink at 16616 Southpark Dr, Westfield. It's a great place for family fun. As of September 2015, they're hiring seasonal stuff if you happen to be over the age of 16 and want a job.
5341 Elmwood Ave, Indianapolis, is the address of GreatTimes. It's a family fun park that's arguably my favorite item on this list. While there are tons of things to do at GreatTimes, I’m partial to spending my time at the arcade. The games are pretty generous with tickets and they have an incredible prize table.
The physical address of this bowling alley is 1539 W Main St, Greenfield. It's a great option if you're looking for a nice place to go bowling. They even have an arcade for you to enjoy too.
Pollard's Bowl is located at 1119 S Main St, Versailles. It has great food, great music, and a lot of great fun. Mom and/or dad can enjoy a nice beer while their children are bowling.
JAK’S Warehouse is an indoor play center at 221 US-41, Schererville. It's an explosive place where anyone with children is guaranteed to have a good time.
629 North U.S. 31, Whiteland, is the address of this amusement center. It's the perfect place for anyone who's looking to have a good time. It features acres of both indoor and outdoor entertainment.
When you see the word retro what’s the first type of place that comes to your mind? Can you think of any places other than the ones I’ve included here? Maybe you have a favorite bowling alley or skating rink not on this list? Share with me in the comments!
