This Tasty Indiana Restaurant Is Home To The Biggest Steak We’ve Ever Seen

When it comes to places that may or may not serve the biggest steaks in Indiana, the steaks are high, but there are some places that simply outdo the rest in terms of value and, in this case, utter (or should we say udder?) enormousness. Okay, okay, in all seriousness, though – the steaks at Bynum’s Steakhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, are probably some of the largest we’ve ever seen. Think you could take it on?

It comes as no surprise that the restaurant was named one of Indianapolis's Top 10 Restaurants, and in a city with more than 300 restaurants in downtown Indy alone, it's not like there was little competition for the title. Bynum's fiercely fends off competitors with some of the tastiest steaks in the business and a cozy vibe that makes guests feel right at home.
The atmosphere is warm, laid-back, and friendly, despite being a steakhouse.
It seems like every time you visit, you'll be greeted by the friendly staff who will treat you much more like a friend than a guest. The service is excellent, but even that has nothing on the steaks.
Bynum's Steakhouse is legendary for a big reason: its steaks are enormous. Most famous is the prime rib, the smallest serving of which weighs in at 16 ounces (or one whole pound). The most popular prime rib is the 24-ounce cut, but if you're feeling like a legend, why not just go for the monster 32-ounce prime?
Of course, if you don't want to order a steak (we have no idea why you wouldn't, though), that's all right. The menu has a decent selection of other options, including, but not limited to, salads, sandwiches, chicken and lobster, and pasta.
It feels like some kind of crime to visit a steakhouse known for its literal slabs of beef without ever ordering a steak, but we digress.
Every plate comes with a house-made onion soup, a house salad (with house-made dressings), bread, and your choice of potato. It's all included; there is no a la carte here. The beef is by far the real star of the show.
Prime rib is not the only cut of meat offered, of course.
There are also other mouthwatering options like ribeye (our personal favorite), filet mignon, New York strip, and more. If you're a seasoned carnivore Hoosier with a major taste for steak (guilty), Bynum's is really the best place to be.
As long as you're bringing your appetite, make sure to leave some room for dessert, because the restaurant serves up an array of delicious desserts on a seasonal basis.
Bynum’s Steakhouse is easily serving up one of the biggest steaks in Indiana. They’re open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
