Char-Bett Drive-In in northern Indiana is a local favorite restaurant that has been in business since 1951. It began as a grocery store and filling station that also sold some food but in 1958, it was converted into the drive-in it is today.
The business has been family owned from the start, though ownership changed hands in 1983. The place is best recognized by its giant neon sign and red and white exterior.
