Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Hidden away in Perry Township, Indiana, is a beautiful little escape from the real world. It’s simple really: all it is is a reservoir, but there’s something about it that’s awe-invokingly pretty. It’s the Prairie Creek Reservoir and it’s not just one of the best places to go swimming in Indiana: it’s also one of the most beautiful hidden places in IN that most folks don’t even know exists! Check it out and see for yourself:
This gorgeous little slice of paradise boasts about 1,275 amazing acres of crystal-clear, beautiful water.
The possibilities here are only as endless as your imagination; if you can dream it, you can probably do it 'round here. It's one of those places that seems to have it all, and it only gets better as you break it down into individual ideas.
Fishing, hiking, boating, swimming - all modes of enjoying the outdoors are possible.
This amazing little lake is known for its amazingly clean, clear water, so it's popular among swimmers, but there's one thing folks seem to enjoy doing here more than anything: boating.

Boating here on the water is outrageously easy and highly accessible, with 740 dock slips, 58 mooring slips, and 16 flotation slips.
Some of the slips are ADA accessible and open for enjoyment by everyone - so get outside and enjoy it! It's amazing year-round, but boating is only available from May through October, so if you plan on that, plan accordingly.
Usually glowing in brilliant shades of orange, pink, gold, and red, you'll find yourself spellbound at the beauty of it all, especially when it's reflected off the surface of the water.
The area is wonderfully photogenic and the perfect place for things like family photos or just a day out with the camera.
