Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Who says you can’t have a beach day in a non-coastal state? I sure don’t, and if you’ve been reading Only In Your State for any amount of time, you probably already know this – but some folks aren’t aware (or perhaps they’ve just never considered it!), and that’s who this one goes out to. Indiana just happens to be an awesome state with plenty of opportunities for a beach day; Lake Michigan in particular is known for its beachy beaches and ocean-like vibes. But right now, I’d like to take a moment to appreciate a lesser-known beach than those at beautiful Lake Michigan. If you’ve never been out to Cagles Mill Lake, you certainly ought to; it’s beautiful, it’s home to a wondrous beach, and it’s quite close to another epic natural wonder as well. Check it out!
