Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Hidden away in Clark County, Indiana, is a place of wonder and delight, where almost anything you could ever dream of grows (well, depending on what time of year it is, anyway). Berry Best Farm, hidden away in Clark County, has been growing and picking and selling high-quality, delicious fruits, vegetables, flowers, and herbs since 1975. When it comes to you-pick farms in Indiana, Berry Best Farm is a cut – or should we say, a pick – above the rest.
This local legend is famous throughout the Hoosier State for its exceptional strawberries, corn, and tomatoes.
However, that's nowhere near everything grown on Berry Best Farm - there are so many things growing throughout the year that it's impossible to list them all in one article!
Usually, growing season kicks off in April with delicious asparagus. In summer, the strawberries (as well as other berries) are ready to harvest.
Berry Best allows visitors to pick their own strawberries, snap and snow peas, raspberries, green beans, blackberries, and blueberries - so see which ones are in season when you visit! You'll probably just have to keep coming back every time the farm has something new ready to go.

The strawberries are a special kind of amazing, though.
The crops at Berry Best Farms are plentiful and healthy, producing tons of excellent produce and offering it to locals for ridiculously affordable prices.
Other delicious fruits, veggies, and more grown on the farm include non-edible things as well, like spring flowers (usually geraniums and petunias).
Strawberries and blackberries give way to corn, pumpkins, and mums, and to finish out grow season in October, Berry Best has some awesome deals on home-grown pumpkins.
Berry Best Farm is open from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
If you don't have time (or the desire) to visit the farm and pick your own, you can always catch them at the Clark County Farmers Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays in Jefferson, and on Thursdays in Charlestown.
If you’d like to call ahead to see what’s currently ripe and ready for the picking, you can do so at (812) 289-1459. You can also visit the official website for more photos, info, approximate harvest months, and more.
There are a lot of you-pick farms in Indiana, but Berry Best Farm is simply special. It grows such an impressive variety of fruits, veggies, herbs, flowers, and more that we’re pretty sure you’ll have to keep visiting to truly experience it all.
