When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
If there’s anything Indiana has an abundance of (you know, beyond beauty), it’s small towns. Many of these towns are friendly and charming, and you’d be hard-pressed to find something to dislike about any of them. For example, there’s one peaceful town in Indiana that is the very definition of charming; it’s a little place called Zionsville, and it just so happens to be a delightful place to live, work, visit, or explore. Come check it out and see for yourself – you’ll regret nothing, we promise!
Welcome to Zionsville, population: just over 30,000.
In 2020, there were just 346 incidents of crime for every 100,000 residents - an astonishingly low rate that makes it one of (if not THE) safest towns in Indiana.
Did you know, for example, that Zionsville is the the pie capital of Indiana? Well, now you do - do with that delicious information what you may. If pie isn't your thing, perhaps the best ice cream in Indiana will be.
Zionsville is also home to more than 500 amazing acres of trails, parks, and other outdoor delights.
Once you've hiked and biked to your heart's content, hit the shops for more fun. There are plenty of mom-and-pop places here you won't find anywhere else, all of which add to Zionsville's overall charm. Black Dog Books is a fan-favorite.
From the homes to the businesses to the folks, Zionsville is like something out of a dream.
All of its amenities and attractions - combined with its remarkably low crime rates - make it one of the most peaceful towns in Indiana, hands down. It's an amazing place to visit or live, and the perfect town for raising a family.
No matter what time of year you show up, you're in for a treat.
Zionsville is an amazing place - come out and experience it!
