Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Ah, yes, it’s just about that time again: time for snow, bonfires, and family time. Time for holiday lights, festivals, and gift-giving. Time for hot chocolate, traditions, and delicious meals. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and Hoosiers know that if they should ever feel like getting their holiday cheer on, they can pay a visit to any of the most charming holiday towns in Indiana. One such town is the delightful little town known as Shipshewana, an amazingly magical Christmas town in Indiana that must be experienced to be believed. You’ll never forget a holiday season in Shipshewana – we promise!
This small, Amish town in the Hoosier State is a charming delight all year 'round.
And we mean that in the literal sense - everywhere you turn is decorated in brilliant, shimmering lights, lending an atmosphere of festivity to the entire town.

Attend numerous festivals and yearly traditions that will surely become your own.
The holiday season starts almost right away after Halloween; in early November, attend the Shipshewana Christmas light parade, followed shortly thereafter by a tree lighting ceremony.
The annual Chocolate Day, typically in mid-November, is one of the sweetest traditions in town. Head to Aunt Millie's Candy & Nut Shop and get a one-of-a-kind chocolate box before wandering through town collecting chocolates to fill it with. It's the definition of pure magic.
Another wonder-filled tradition to add to your yearly bucket list is Shipshewana's Lights of Joy.
