In the heart of Fountain Square, a district in Indianapolis, is the old Fountain Square Theatre building. Inside the building, residents will find great food, a nifty hotel, and a nostalgic duck pin bowling venue. However, on weekends, from the end of May until mid-September, one of the best, unique restaurants finds its home on top of this old building.

End of the Line Public House may not look like anything fancy from the outside, with its retro decor and atmosphere. The restaurant first opened in 2011 and has become a staple of the artsy district in Fountain Square ever since. But despite blending into the eclectic Fountain Square backdrop, this gastropub offers an amazing rooftop dining experience unlike any other restaurant.

To reach the rooftop dining area, diners have to enter through a separate door, where they can take an old elevator up to the top of the building. The less patient and more athletically inclined can climb numerous floors of stairs to reach their destination above.

But once up there, visitors will be amazed by the view offered on the roof at End of the Line. Lights line the gate that wraps around the entire rooftop and offers an intimate and cozy setting for dinner or drinks. Solar powered lights sit within each table, offering mood lighting for when the sun goes down.

Of course, while the experience is simply breathtaking, the food itself will keep you coming back for more. With intriguing entrees like their gingham salad, bison burger, brisket sandwich, and souffle-like mac-and-cheese. They also have a pretty extensive wine and craft beer list, plus excellent desserts. All food is made in their downstairs kitchen and shuttled up to guests via the elevator.
