The Most Livable City In The Country Is Right Here In Indiana
We know life in the Hoosier state is pretty great. Now the rest of the country is starting to recognize this – and it’s about time! Check out this awesome Indiana city that may just be the most livable city in the whole country.

According to a 24/7 WallStreet recent ranking of the top places to live in America, Carmel, Indiana reached the coveted #1 spot as the most liveable place in the country. Carmel's won many #1 awards in recent years and here's why the city topped this new list.

The cost of living in Carmel is extremely affordable when compared to the rest of the country's cities. You can rent a decent two bedroom apartment for a little over $800, a deluxe two bedroom condo for around $1,000, and a three bedroom with pool access for just over $1,200. Coupled with the fact that the typical household here earns $113k+, you can see why this area is thriving.

Cities aren't generally known for being the safest places to live, but Carmel has a great reputation. The national average for crimes per 100,000 residents is 386 violent crimes and 2,451 property crimes per year. Carmel reports just 28 violent crimes and 887 property crimes annually, well below this average.

Not only are the schools in Carmel above average, but the residents who live here are well educated. Nearly 70% of Carmel residents have at least a bachelor's degree, putting them in the top 10% of educated cities.

The survey also found that residents in this area are pretty healthy - maybe because of access to the Monon trail and incredible parks. Not stressing about cost of living or safety might be another reason.

We're pretty proud that Carmel can help put Indiana on the map and show other states that life here is pretty awesome!
