They claim she lost her baby (known as Baby Lester) and spent her days in the cemetery. Some tales claim she dug him up and held him in her arms, before finally committing suicide. Visitors of the cemetery are meant to leave a token behind for baby Lester to help him rest in peace, as well as to honor the Lady in Black.

The Lady in Black can often be found on this tree stump, which is also rumored to be haunted. Legends claim that anyone who sits on the tree stump will be cursed to live no more than another year.

Other legends tell of a caretaker whose ghost can also be found sitting on the stump from time to time. They say he was killed in an accident when a logging truck veered off the road and logs crushed the caretaker's body.

More legends exist about this spooky place, but you'll have to check it out for yourself to see if they're true. You can find the cemetery inside of the Morgan-Monroe Forest in Martinsville, IN 46151.
