The Fall Creek Massacre was a name given to a brutal slaughter of a total of nine different Native Americans including four children, three women, and two men. Seven white settlers living in Indiana committed this slaughter. Only six of the men were captured. Four of the six men that were captured were sentenced to a hanging because it was illegal to slaughter Native Americans in Indiana at this time.
