Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Okay, let’s start this one out on a bit of a bummer note (but it gets way better, I promise): once upon a time, river otters ceased to exist in the Hoosier State. In fact, by 1942, they had been declared extinct thanks to unregulated overhunting and habitat loss – never to return. Or were they? Thanks to some truly amazing conservation efforts over the last couple of decades, otters have made a remarkable comeback. This is the amazing comeback story of river otters in Indiana.
