This Classic Waterfront Bistro In Indiana Has Legendary Steaks

If you’ve ever wished for a waterfront, seaside, or lakeside restaurant in Indiana to run away to when you miss the feel of the sea, you’re in luck: hiding in the lovely little town of Angola is a delicious waterfront restaurant that prides itself in serving up not just the best steaks in town, but also the best salmon, chicken, lunch, dinner, and… well, everything, really. The entire menu is positively to die for, but there’s a couple of items in particular that are an absolute party for your tastebuds. The steaks served on the dinner menu at Waterfront Bistro are so juicy, so tender, and so flavorful that they deserved their very own article (okay, and so did the rest of the menu, but you get the gist of it). The appropriately-named Waterfront Bistro is located on the channel between Lake James and Jimmerson Lake.
Given that Indiana is smack-dab in the center of the Midwest and not at all an oceanside state, it's really nice to have a little place like this to get away to if you ever crave watching the sunset over the water.
The ambiance is somewhere in between elegant and casual, with a warm, friendly staff and menus worth writing home about.
Waterfront Bistro serves all three meals - breakfast, lunch, and dinner - and each is worth a visit all on its own. You'll love the variations in each menu and the delicious meals only the Bistro can cook up.

Our favorite menu item is on the dinner menu: it's the steaks that we fell in love with right away.
There are a couple of amazing options here: get the 6-ounce filet mignon if you're a fan of buttery-smooth, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness you won't find just anywhere else. We prefer medium-rare, but you can order it any way you like.
The list of sides you get to choose from is perfect. Each item complements different parts of the dinner menu; we loved the Brussels sprouts and rice pilaf. Reviews rave about the delicious and perfectly grilled asparagus.
And you know, even if steak isn't your thing, that's quite alright; the seafood here is to die for, and the chicken is wonderful!
Honestly, no matter what you choose to nosh on while you're here, it's almost certainly going to be delicious and perfectly prepared. Few things go as well with great lake views as great meal options for all three meals.
Dine indoors or outdoors; when the weather is warm and pleasant, you'll most definitely want to stay outside.
