Jazz music is one of America’s most cherished pastimes. From the early days of the music scene in the late 1800s to modern-day jazz clubs, one thing is for sure: there’s something about a good jazz club that will make you feel like you’re right back in another part of the American story. The Jazz Kitchen, a unique jazz bar and restaurant in the heart of Indianapolis, manages to feel both modern and classic at once.
The Jazz Kitchen opened in 1994, and it didn't take long at all for the small venue to attract big crowds with their flawless nightly jazz acts.
Local musicians and more renowned artists have all played here during its two and a half decades (thus far). The atmosphere is somewhere between chilled and reverent, with the nightly throngs of patrons all sharing a common thread in their love for jazz.

The club features a full bar with delectable wine options, masterfully created cocktails and even some local craft beers.

Keep in mind, though, that this is a bar and lounge, so only patrons who are 21 years old or older may attend events here.
There's a $15 minimum food and drink order per show, and sometimes they host more than one show per night. Your cover pays the band, and the dinner minimum keeps The Jazz Kitchen open for patrons like yourself to enjoy.
