Sometimes, it’s important to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and see what some of the smaller towns nearby have to offer. It’s especially important to do so before the cold weather hits and snow and ice makes traveling more of a chore! For a fun excursion this autumn, head to this cool town south of Indy:
How could you not head to Nashville — no, not the home of country music — but the home of some of the best fall foliage and interesting attractions in Indiana?
It may be a town of less than 1,100 residents, but Nashville is home to a multitude of attractions that bring people from all over Indiana to the area, including Brown County State Park.
When you’re tired from hiking and looking for another way to see the sights of this small town, you can check out the Nashville Express Train Tours, which offer 25-minute tours of the town’s scenery.
When your appetite needs satiating, head to Hobnob Corner Restaurant — housed in a building straight out of the 1870s — for delicious local cuisine, including a pot roast that can’t be beat.
The weather in Indy won’t be pleasant for much longer. Before you know it, snow and ice will take over the streets and deter you from taking these cool day trips. Head to Nashville while the weather is still on our side!
