In the early to mid-1900s, there was nowhere better to go in Indianapolis for a day full of family fun than Riverside Amusement Park. Located just adjacent to the popular Riverside City Park, this old school amusement park used to be found on 30th street (between the canal and White River).

When the park first opened its doors in 1903, its most popular attractions were figure 8 roller coasters and a looking-glass (or mirror) maze. Over the years, rides were added and updated to include an aerial swing, electric carousel, miniature train, larger roller coasters (The Thriller and The Flash), an ice skating rink, and much more. This nostalgic amusement park closed its doors for good in the early 1970s, but the memories it granted thousands of Hoosiers still remain.
