The One Place In Indiana That Must Be Seen To Be Believed
We’ve got some incredible natural wonders in Indiana, most of which come in the form of parks, waterfalls, and caves. However, there’s more to our natural wonders than these three categories. You may know Indiana has fairly incredible limestone formations, but did you know we also have a geological wonder located in the heart of St. Paul?

The incredible St. Paul Stone Quarry is an amazing place to explore. In fact, this geological wonder actually has unique Paleozoic rock formations from four different, major classifications of stone: The Geneva Dolomite Member of the Jefferson Limestone, Louisville Limestone, Waldron Shale, and the Laurel Member of the Salamonie Dolomite.

Within this incredible rock formation, you can see small white spots. These spots are actually crystal formations (vugs filled with macrocrystalline calcite to be exact) and are amazing to see in person.
