If you spend a lot of time in your car, you probably spend a lot of time listening to the radio. I want you to keep in mind that the radio stations on this list are NOT numbered in any particular order. This is just a list of the best radio stations in Indiana that are definitely worth tuning in and listening to. I tried to space out radio stations around the state because I know some stations that work just fine in central Indy, for example, may not work if you travel way north or way south. So, I took that into consideration when composing this piece.
The station is located at 6810 Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis. This is a perfect example of why I said the numbers in this list really don’t mean much because I’m just listing some of the top stations in Indiana. I, personally, am not a fan of country music. But, I know this is one of the first stations you turn to if you love country.
Again, this is another station you're either going to love or hate. But, that doesn't make it any less of a great station if you happen to be into alternative rock. This is a take it or leave it station for me, but it's one of my husband’s favorites. So, we have it programmed into our car radio. The station is located at 6161 Fall Creek Road, Indianapolis.
Located at 2915 Maples Road, Fort Wayne, this is a station my family listens to on occasion. I’m not sure it's one we have programmed into the radio, but they do play a nice selection of songs. This is a safe station (in terms of songs) if you have younger children in the car for the most part.
Ok, so this is a station I have programmed into the radio of my vehicle. Don’t get me wrong, they do play songs I don’t like on occasion, but they have a nice selection for the most part. A lot of the bits the various individuals who work for the station do are usually pretty funny as well which is another great reason to tune into this station. You'll find it at 9245 North Meridian Street, Suite 300, Indianapolis.
6161 Fall Creek Road, Indianapolis, is the address for this radio station. If you like older rock music and classic rock music (as the name suggests) this should be on your list.
The physical address of this station is 800 W. National Highway, Washington, IN. Not sure that I’ve ever personally listened to this radio station. It appears to have been originally founded back in 1989.
3575 McCarty Lane, Lafayette, is the address of this radio station. Did you know this station began operation back in 1942? They are known for playing hit songs from the 60's, 70's, and 80's.
This is a station that prides themselves on playing positive and encouraging music. Many fans say this is a great station to listen to in the morning on your way to work because it puts you in a great mood.
