Have you ever hopped on Zillow or another real estate website just to browse houses? Nothing wrong with a little window shopping right? How about taking a peek at some of the most expensive houses in the state you live in? We got curious, so we did a little digging. We found nine of the most expensive houses in the state of Indiana for your amazement. Life in Indiana is already pretty amazing, but just imagine what it would be like in one of these incredible homes.
1. 5799 Sunset Ln, Indianapolis – Approximately $4,328,800 at last sale
This house features six bedrooms and 10 and a half bathrooms. The first thing that comes to mind is: why the heck does it have more bathrooms than bedrooms? What's even happening here? The fireplaces in the home are from the 1600-1800s, though, which is pretty cool!

2. 3413 S Wallick Road, Peru – $1,251,100 at last sale
Again, why are there almost twice as many bathrooms as bedrooms? That being said, we absolutely love the rooms in this house. There are seven bedrooms... and 13 bathrooms. There is even a guest house with an auto pavilion that you can store eight different cars in!
This home has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Per the listing, it has 18 different rooms and a very open floor plan. What we really like about this home is the Asian-style layout. From the moment you walk in the door you are brushed with Asian décor and influence. We think it's beautiful!
This is another example of a home that is so expensive, you would think they might have better pictures. We also scratch my head at why a home with only four bedrooms is so expensive to begin with. It does sit on a secure waterfront, which is amazing. It has a main residence, coach house with locker room and gym, maintenance building, and a guest house (guess that explains the cost, though). If you have an allergy to trees, you might not be a huge fan because there are over 500 trees bordering the residence.
This house has five bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. What really gets us is the fact that there is an elevator inside of this home. Then again... that's kinda cool, right? The steam and dry shower is also a nice touch.
This home has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. We still do not understand the more bathrooms than bedrooms thing… though we really like how they have the rooms set up! The furniture is nice and spaced out instead of crowded like we've seen in a few of these houses. Pretty sure we saw two or three dining areas inside of the home, too. Guess you can eat family meals in different places? Sounds nice, really.
7. 415 Springwood Dr, Carmel – $3,465,800 at last sale
This home has five bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. We're beginning to think all expensive houses have to have a pool. It appears to be a requirement. You'd better like stairs to live here, too, because it has a lot of them. There is a theater, wine cellar, and fitness room inside of this home. What gets us about this home is the lack of furnishings in the pictures. Where’s the furniture? Where's the staging, man? This is the first expensive luxury home we've seen without furniture inside in its photos!
8. 3650 Spring Hollow Rd, Indianapolis – $2,933,800
This house is absolutely beautiful on the outside and the inside. It has eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Outside of the pictures, we're a little disappointed they do not tell us more about what kind of rooms the home has to offer. Guess you would have to see it to find out!
Living in one of these houses is something we personally would never – ever – be able to afford. That being said, it doesn’t make them any less fun to look at. Do you have a favorite house from this list? Share your thoughts in the comments!
