Located along the banks of the Ohio River in southern Indiana lies ancient fossil beds that have stood the test of time. This slice of history can be found at the historic Falls of the Ohio State Park.

This unique state park contains some of the largest exposed Denovian fossil beds in the entire world. These fossil beds are over 386 million years old and are incredible to behold.

While you can't collect fossils at this park, you're allowed to explore and discover the different types of fossils buried in the sand and dirt. With over 220 acres to explore, you'll never run out of places to discover.

You can also visit the inside of the center to learn more about these unique fossils or gaze upon the fossil beds from above in the interpretive center.
