St. Elmo Steak House is a historic and quaint Indiana restaurant that’s been around since 1902. It has remained in its current location ever since. This is one of the oldest restaurants in Indiana and does its best to preserve its old-fashioned style and ambiance. Throughout the years, this has been the place where politicians and tycoons negotiated their dealings, coaches, and players of sports teams celebrated their victories and washed away their defeats, and celebrities came to dine in style.
Harry Roth and Isadore Rosen ran this steak house from 1947 to 1986 before passing it on to current owner Stephen Huse. St. Elmo Steak House is extremely popular, so you’ll certainly want to make reservations. Have you been to St. Elmo’s Steak House before? If so, please let us know all about it in the comments. This restaurant is one of the things that makes Indianapolis perhaps the most unique city in America.
