The Old Hartford City Jail in Hartford City is a favorite destination for Hoosiers who love exploring haunted places. This jail was opened in 1879 and there are rumors that some of the prisoners' spirits never escaped these walls.
This jail officially closed in 1995, though staff and visitor claim the prison is still very much alive with activity. But, since seeing is believing, you can now explore this creepy jail on your own, to determine for yourself if it's truly haunted or not.

So what kind of paranormal activity have visitors and staff experienced? Many claim you'll hear yelling in the attic, yells or moans in different rooms, voices warning you to get out, and some even claim the ghosts called them by name.
