Have you ever wanted to eat a 30 inch pizza and get someone to pay you to do it? How about a 2 pound burger? Well, there are tons of Indiana restaurants with food challenges where you can do just that! Check them out!
1. Monroe County Pizza: The Big Ten Pounder Challenge
A team of two people have to eat an entire 28 piece 10 to 12 pound pizza, which is the largest pizza in Indiana. The team will have to pay $49.99 plus tax to reserve a challenge slot. The price includes an unlimited amount of beverages. Spitting, vomiting, and soaking up the grease will disqualify you. You must eat every bite of this piece.
You must also keep the food down for at least 15 minutes once the challenge is finished. If you can do this, you'll get $200, t-shirts, and a spot on their wall of fame!
Wings Etc. is known for their "wall sauce" which is supposed to be unbearably hot. If you can eat 16 wall sauced jumbo wings without drinking anything (or eating anything else) you'll get added to the Wall of Flame forever.
Rockstar Pizza has a 30 inch pizza challenge they have affectionately named the "Rockstar Pizza Challenge". A team of two people can try to eat a 30 inch pizza with at least one topping in 45 minutes. I spoke to someone from the restaurant via Facebook and they told me the challenge has been completed a total of 3 times. They like when you give them notice, but you are welcomed to just walk in and give it a try.

If you're really hungry you could consider checking out the AJ's Burgers & Beef Challenge. This challenge requires you to eat two pounds of angus beef, bacon, and four slices of cheese on top of a Kaiser roll. If you complete the challenge, you get the food for FREE, you get a t-shirt, and you get to go on the Wall of Fame (you must complete it in 12 minutes and 60 seconds). If you complete it inside of half an hour, you can get the t-shirt and go on the Wall of Fame. If you do not complete the challenge, you will go on the Wall of Shame.
I've spoken to the staff of this establishment and they've told me they have anywhere from 2-5 people who complete this challenge every week. A few weeks ago, they had a competitive eater named Molly Schuyler who completed the challenge in 2 minutes and 54 seconds (breaking their previous record of 3 minutes).

Unfortunately, a lot of the Indiana restaurants that used to have food challenges have discontinued them! I spent a lot of time messaging food establishments, but only the five in this list were able to confirm they still had an active food challenge.
If you happen to know of any extras that should be included, you are more than welcome to reach out to me with information so I can get it added! I don’t know about you, but my stomach hurts just thinking about some of these food challenges!
