Courtney's originally from the East Coast, but has found a charming new home in Indiana. She loves checking out local music, reading, and trying new food. She's also a little too addicted to coffee and has a Maine Coon cat she answers to.
We’re lucky to have a lot of farm fresh, inventive food options here in Indiana. From homemade comfort foods to eclectic, more unique dishes, it’s impossible to run out of food options in the Hoosier state. While we have most of the food bases covered (Italian, German, Amish, Chinese, Thai, etc) there’s one fairly new restaurant that’s the first of its kind in Indiana, and you’ll want to try it.
Main Street Poké, located in downtown Carmel, is Indiana's first poké restaurant. Poké is a traditional Hawaiian dish featuring fresh fish and seafood mixed with a variety of mix-ins, from sea vegetables to rice.
First, you select your base (rice or salad), then your protein. Main Street offers a variety of raw and cooked fish as well as beef, chicken, pork, Spam, and tofu.
This unique dish is perfect for all diets, since you can easily create your ideal paleo, keto, vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free meal. It's a great place to grab a hassle-free lunch or to dine when out with picky eaters (or when you're just craving something delicious and new!).
