If you are tired of ordering a pizza and being told you’ll have to wait 30 to 45 minutes, there’s a chain of pizzerias in Indiana that will change the way you do pizza night. Check out how these local spots make the fastest pizza in the Midwest.
The best part is you get a personal pie all to yourself. There’s so shame in eating an entire pizza at this restaurant. Scroll on for more details.
Azzip Pizza is a marvelous chain of fast-food pizzerias in Indiana (and one in Kentucky!) that is known for making the best personal pies this side of the Mississippi. It all began in 2014 with the opening of the first store in Evansville, Indiana where there are currently two locations.
You could say the idea for the fastest pizza in the Midwest took off in 2012 when the owners won the Burton D Morgan Business Plan Competition at Purdue University. A year later, they signed their first lease and opened for business within months.
The concept is simple. Guests choose from different sauces, meats, and cheeses that are assembled on to a thin crust. Once thrown into the very hot oven, it takes 2.5 minutes before your pizza is done.
From there, patrons can choose to add various veggies, drizzles, or just take it the way it comes. In true Hoosier style, toppings typically go out to the edge of the crust, and the slices are cut into squares.
Pizzas come in either 8 or 11-inch personal sizes, and gluten-free options are available as well as low-carb cauliflower crusts. Dairy-free and vegan diet guests will also find options to suit their needs.
While you can build your own pie, there are many pre-set options to choose from as well. Enjoy the Funky Chicken, Potato Head, E'Vil Pig, Italian Stallion, and so many more.
Sides like cheesy breadsticks with pesto or sriracha, salads, and chocolate chunk cookies are also available alongside the fastest pizzas in the state. You'll want to try everything they do here because they do it all so well.
Hours vary by location. Get more details on Azzip Pizza’s website or Facebook page. Have you tried the fastest pizza in the Midwest? If so, we’d love to hear from you. Please share your experiences and photos with us below in the comments.
