We’re all about small town life in Indiana and we’re pretty lucky to have so many great small towns packed into one state. If you’re looking for a new small town to visit and explore, there’s one you may not have heard of, but will definitely fall in love with.
Vevay, Indiana is a historic town in Switzerland County that many Hoosiers have never heard of. This town was founded in the early 1800s by Swiss immigrants and became unofficially known as the home of the very first commercial winery in the entire country.
Vevay is home to approximately 1,650 Hoosiers and offers the perfect small town life. Their quaint and charming main street is a great place to explore, shop, and eat.

Vevay is also located along the Ohio Scenic Byway and offers some pretty scenic and spectacular sights.

You can take in many of these gorgeous sights at the Paul W. Ogle Riverfront Park.
Whether you want to lounge in the grass or get closer to the river, this park offers the perfect quiet retreat for visitors.
