You Won't Want To Drive Through The Most Haunted Town In Indiana At Night Or Alone

There are just some places that end up, no matter how beautiful they are, rumored to be intensely haunted. There can be all sorts of reasons for this; the place might be marred by tragedy or have a particularly dark history. It might be socially or culturally significant in some way, or perhaps it’s just a favorite subject among youngsters who make up spooky stories for fun to frighten their friends. No matter what the backstory may or may not be, some places are just plain creepy. There are a few Hoosier State towns that fit this description, but there’s one in particular that seems to be a definite hub of unusual paranormal activity. Could Bloomington be the most haunted town in Indiana?

Under the safety of daylight, it can be fun to wander to some of the town's most allegedly-haunted locations, but once the sun goes down, that's when the real fun begins.

Some aren't just haunted; some are very haunted, and many of the spirits around here are said to be able to harm the living, though we're not entirely certain about that.

For example, there's an abandoned amusement park nestled in the woods nearby town; the last remaining piece of its existence is the old, decaying Zoom Flume slide. Some folks are foolish enough to wander that way at night, and they often return with tales of strange and downright eerie things that happened while they were there.

Numerous houses in town are rumored to be plagued by spirits, though the majority of them are private property curious ghost hunters are unable to explore.

The ghost stories that have come out of there over the decades are numerous and spine-tingling; for example, there are several dormitory halls infamous for being haunted, and there's at least one ultra-ancient cemetery on the grounds, which certainly doesn't help things. Other wayward spirits include those of deceased students, jilted lovers, and even a dog (which might be the best kind of ghost there is, honestly).
