This marvelous Indiana donut shop chain has gone through three generations. It got its start in 1961 when Jack and Ada Marcum bought a donut store in New Castle and employed their children to work in it.
The family-run establishment was handed off to the the owner's son Jack Jr. and then to Jack "Lee" Marcum III who keeps this amazing donut shop chain going strong in Indiana.
Franchising did not start until 2003 when a second location was opened in nearby Fishers. It has since expanded to include 15 shops in total, of which there are multiple locations in Indy as well as in towns like Avon, Greenwood, and Brownsburg.
Some of the most basic and popular donuts you'll find here include: white, chocolate, and tiger tails, cinnamon and tiger buns, and white, chocolate, and cinnamon pretzels. All are glazed and made fresh daily.
Additional treats you have to try include peanut butter, chocolate nut, and caramel rolls as well as jelly and cream-filled varieties. There are also cake donuts and stick-style donuts.
Jack's Donuts also makes its own brand of coffee. Next time you stop by for one of these gigantic donuts, grab a cup of Joe to perk up your morning.
