There’s a waterfront eatery in Michigan City you’d never expect to find in Indiana. Not far from Lake Michigan, this dockside restaurant offers incredible seating that features views of some of the most historic bridges in the state.

Properly named Bridges Waterside Grille, this fabulous outdoor restaurant in the northwest corner of the state is a fabulous place for food, fun, and drinks. It is situated on Trail Creek which comes right out of Lake Michigan.
This dockside restaurant has been in businesses since 2002. Locally-owned and operated, it is the best bar and grill in Michigan City and is located close enough to the beach that you can walk there.
Other nearby attractions include the Indiana Dunes, a zoo, a splash pad, and breweries.

As the name suggests, the historic views at this dockside restaurant are of old bridges. Guests can see the ancient Amtrak swing bridge as well as an overpass.
Seating options abound at this lovely outdoor bar and grill. Most enjoy the outdoor seating, but there is also room inside for those who prefer a more controlled environment.
The next best thing to the views is the food. Guests enjoy fish tacos and sandwiches, clams, shrimp, salmon, burgers, chicken, pulled pork, salads, and so much more. Start your meal with appetizers like mozzarella sticks, fried calamari, lobster bisque, or crab cakes.
Complete your island-themed meal with a tropical drink. Enjoy a frozen cocktail or any number of other delicious drinks from the full bar. Beer and wine is also available.
Summer is more fun when you spend part of it at Bridges Waterside Grill. You can stop by Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. as well as Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
