The Deadly History Of This Indiana Farm Is Terrifying But True
Farms are the backbone upon which most of the Hoosier state was built. And while we love our farms here, not every farm has a cheery, sunny history. There’s one farm in Indiana that has a particularly dark and deadly past – and while it might not be a cheerful story, it’s certainly a captivating tale…

Westfield, Indiana is a typical rural Midwestern town. You'll find small shops, friendly neighbors, and miles of outstretched land to explore. This pleasant town, however, is home to a dark secret.

Westfield also became home to a man named Herb Baumeister, a founder of the local Sav-A-Lot grocery stores who was accused of murdering between 11 and 19 men.

Baumeister lived at Fox Hollow Farm, where 11 of his victims were found buried. The victims were all gay men who Herb preyed on, under the false name "Brian Smart." It was later revealed that Herb was diagnosed with schizophrenia as a child.
