Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
It’s true that we’ve featured lots of unique and attractive Airbnbs in the past, but just when we thought we couldn’t find anything better than an isolated cabin on the beach, or a wintery-wonderland-style yurt…we found this one. We’re pretty sure it’s our favorite one yet.
"Le Chateau de Chein King" is a breathtakingly beautiful one-room stay in a gorgeous farmhouse.
Why, you might ask? The answer is wonderful: this farm was established as the home for Petite Trésors Rescue & Sanctuary, a rescue for dogs with histories of mistreatment and abuse, elderly dogs, and special-needs pups.
Seriously – the property is beautiful, the price is unbeatable, and the fact that you get to hang out with loads of dogs the whole time is just the greatest perk ever.
There's room for all the cuddling of dogs that your heart could ever dream of. The price for a night is unbeatable, too, and every dime goes to the rescue and back to the dogs.
Guests can opt to not interact with any of the dogs or cats, but we don't know why anyone would want that kind of loneliness.
Come on! Dogs to pet? Cats to snuggle? Peace and quiet? A fire pit?? Does it get better than this?
We submit that it does not.
This amazing stay is very highly rated and books up superfast, so make sure to make your reservations ahead of time! You can check out more photos, open dates, rules and regulations, and more on their Airbnb profile here.
Have you ever visited a dog or cat sanctuary? Was it not just the greatest experience of your life? Tell us about them in the comments!
