The Metamora Old Fashioned Christmas Walk is held very year during the months of November and December. The walk is spread out over four magical weekends and is perfect for friends, family, or couples looking to do something out of the ordinary and enchanting.

Metamora is known as Indiana’s Canal Town, and the canal is dressed up in its finest for this lovely stroll. Lights decorate the bridges over the canal and holiday decor is everywhere. There’s even a glowing boat with a different theme each year.

Strollers can look forward to singing along with carolers, visiting Santa in his house, or getting a memorable holiday photo taken. Many of the shops are open late, which makes this the perfect time to get your Christmas shopping done. Homes and businesses are decked out with twinkling lights that give the entire town a magical ambiance.

The stroll is free for all, but make sure to show up on the right dates. The 2018 strolls dates are happening on Nov. 23, Nov. 24, Nov. 30, Dec. 1, Dec. 7, Dec. 9, Dec. 14, and Dec. 15. Some shops will also be open Dec. 21-24. The festivities begin each day at noon and extend to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sundays.
