Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Hidden deep (okay, maybe not super deep, but still) within the gorgeous Hoosier National Forest is a hiking trail that’s fit only for hikers who know what they’re doing. It’s a challenging hike in Indiana that’s not quite like any others, with some truly gorgeous views that you’d never guess were right here in our backyard. Come out to the little town of Norman and enjoy a tough hike that’s truly worth every step. Hiking in Indiana has never been so refreshing!
Now, be careful and make sure to download a trail map before you head out.
But the view isn't the only part that makes it worth your while; there are lots of little features on and along the path that will certainly intrigue you.

You'll come upon features such as small ponds, beautiful, rolling hills, and lots of places where you'll want to simply sit... and be.
The entire trek - the whole nine yards (or miles, in this case) - seems to have little pleasures everywhere along the way, and honestly, few things are more settling to the spirit than falling asleep under the stars. Then, in the morning, you can get up and on your way.
The trail is open year-round, though the best times to hike it are from April to October.
Wear great hiking shoes, pack some goodies, and enjoy the breeze. It's not every day you get to hike through heaven.
