Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Every so often, something shiny and new comes along that takes everything – and everyone – by storm. Take, for instance, a wonderful new Italian joint in the heart of Indy with more than just ambiance and excellent food. If you look a little closer – and you know where to look, of course – you’ll realize this delectable delight is hiding something special. It’s called Verita, and it’s a hidden speakeasy in Indianapolis that’s only open on weekend nights to anyone who knows the password. Dining in Indiana has never been so much fun… or so secretive.
From the outside, Bocca is a modern Italian eatery with lots more to offer than just Italian food.
The food is excellent, the drinks are fabulous, and the overall vibe of the place is both updated and comfortably familiar. It's a powerhouse of a spot, and in just two short years it's made its way up the ladder of loved and respected local nosh spots.

But there's something else you'll want to know about while you're here.
"Come in through the back door after 10 p.m., and be discreet." Meander down the stairs that are inconspicuously placed beside the host stand and you'll find it.
The primary focus down here is drinks, though small plates (which are amazing) are available for snacking on while you're down here.
And, goodness, when I say the mixed drinks are amazing - I absolutely mean it. They're also beautiful little works of fine art, though, too - so be ready with the phone camera to preserve the beauty before you devour it.
So come on out and get some amazing Italian food at Bocca...
...and then disappear down below for the real show.
For more information about Bocca, including the most up-to-date hours, menu, and specials, be sure to visit its official website. You won’t find anything about Verita there, though – for that, you’ll have to follow the official Instagram account. Planning to visit Indy and need more to do?
